Wikipedia, April 5, 2016 (Tom Keene; born December 30, 1896 in Rochester, Monroe County, New York; died August 4, 1963 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles County, California; actor; born George Duryea in Rochester, New York, he appeared in over 100 films and television series over the coarse of his career; he arrived in Hollywood in the 1920s and made his big screen debut in the lead role in "The Godless Girl" (1929); during the 1930s and 1940s, he had big success appearing in western films for RKO and Republic Studios; his film credits include "Come on Danger!" (1932), "Romance of the Rockies" (1937), "The Painted Trail" (1938), "Western Mail" (1942) and "Thunder Mountain" (1947); for television, he appeared on the series "Sky King", "Hopalong Cassidy", "Tales of the Texas Rangers" and "Fury;" after his last film "Plan 9 from Outer Space" (1959), he retired from acting to focus on real estate and the insurance business; he died of cancer at age 66 in Woodland Hills, California)
